Throughout the years of offering our SHE Leads leadership conferences and the many women we have met, I have heard similar things over and over: I wish I had a network of women to encourage me and to be encouraged or I would love to sit at a round table with other communicators and pick each other’s brain. We are excited to announce that we are going to provide that for you this year through a monthly Conversation with Jessie and other team members.
Navigating through Change
Join me along with featured guest, Sally Hall, as we discuss what it looks like to walk through change and how to keep moving forward in uncertain times. Plus, we will provide steps on how to bounce back from setbacks.
Change isn’t usually a concept people welcome, but it’s necessary if our ministries, churches, and personal lives are going to grow.
“If you think your best days are behind you, they are. If you think your best days are ahead of you, they are.” ~ John Gordon
Sally Hall is no stranger to change. She’s lived in 14 states and 23 address changes. Recently she and her husband moved from Tennessee to Oklahoma selling all but what they could fit into a small POD. During this transition, they found themselves, homeless, carless, and with no idea where they would call home. How did she navigate the changes each move presented? The finding and developing friendships, locating a church home, sometimes jobs, community connections, and places of service? How did she learn to navigate the daily changes brought on by shattered dreams, caregiving, being called into and out of ministries, the pain of losses, physical issues … the highs and lows of life? Sally has learned that self-talk plays an important role in one’s professional and personal success. The words we believe indelibly impact our minds and hearts, thus influencing how effectual we are in all areas of our lives. Her driving goal is to help women find the tools and develop the life skills needed to empower them with truth, rather than giving heed to emotions and lies.
