Two things…
First, I want to follow up from my May newsletter where I shared about my husband’s career change. Well, it is finally a reality. He is officially named the new head softball coach at the University of Delaware and we couldn’t be happier and more proud of his commitment and dedication to making his dream come true.
I have to be honest, I was all out of prayer requests a week prior to the announcement and a dear friend of mine encouraged me by saying, it was time to move from requesting to praising and thanking Him for what he was going to do.
So that is what I did.
In my devotion time, the morning of the announcement, I read Psalm 66:19-20: But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His loving kindness from me….
This was confirmation to leave it in His hands. And, that is exactly what I did.
Soon after I received the call from John with the news, rejoicing took place in my heart and with my hands!
Secondly, This summer is our five year anniversary at More of Him Ministries and we have watched God move in ways we never dreamed possible. Each year, we have ministered to thousands of women, held numerous Bible studies and events, penned two Bible studies and a book, Road Trip. Additionally, we’ve partnered with LifeWay, You Lead, Hackman’s Bible Bookstore and Iron Sharpens Iron. We celebrate by inviting you to join us August 28 for the movie showing, War Room. You can find more information here.
We serve such a BIG God.
Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
We may not know what is around the bend, but if we keep our eyes looking directly ahead and let our gaze be fixed straight in front of us. Watch the path of our feet, then all your ways will be established. (Proverbs 4:25-26) But do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your feet from evil. (Proverbs 4:27).
Will you trust Him when you do not clearly see the way in front of you? That is called, Faith.
Some days it will take one step at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time. But what God wants from us is obedience and trust.
Won’t you trust Him with your outcome?
Journeying with Him,
Jessie
