I remember the very first conference I ever went to. Do you?
It was POWERFUL!
It was a mountaintop experience for me. It was the catalyst that jump-started my daily reading of the Word. And, it can be the place God meets you in the very depths of your soul if you allow Him access.
Currently, many of you know we are working on two events coming to our area – Priscilla Shirer Live & SHE Leads in Reading, Pa. Even though I have lost count of the events I have worked on and attended, it NEVER gets old.
One of the driving forces behind why I do what I do is because at no time do I forget what that first conference meant to me.
Each conference and retreat have left a watermark on my heart. Each one represents something different and significant.
Our prayer for this conference is that God would rain down on us (Hosea 6:3).
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
It is as if I have been given fertile fields or received a beautiful tract of land.Psalm 16:6 (NET)
May He come down like rain upon the mown grass, like showers that water the earth. Psalm 72:6
Then He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day, your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture. Isaiah 30:23
When God rains down on us and waters His seed (the Word), it allows us to grow (1 Cor. 3:6) and will make your life rich and plentiful.
And fruit will be seen.
He is the vine you are the branches. Stay connected to Him for the strength you need for the days ahead.
Because One Event can Change your Life
- It can cause revival
- Save a life
- The catalyst for a life set on fire
- Soften a heart
- Change a decision
- Positively affect a marriage
- Plant a dream
- Establish a friendship
- Free a bondslave
- Increase a passionate walk with Him
And because one event can jump-start your walk, revive a dull life and increase a desire for more of Him and less of you, consider where God is calling you to attend this year: a conference, personal retreat, church retreat or that alone time with Him you’ve let go of.
He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. John 3:30 (NLT)
