“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you,
And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”
Says the Lord who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10
You might feel the weight of discouragement, wrongdoing, or disappointment as you face your day, but you have a God who cares. His love for you is steadfast and firm. As you trust your day to Him, He promises to stand with you. Psalm 16:8 writes, “He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Even if your surroundings seem to be crumbling, you can stand secure in His love for you. And, if you feel distant from Him, He has not moved. He is awaiting your companionship with open arms and an unwavering love.
When you received Jesus into your life, there was an instant promise: His love and peace will never be taken from you no matter what else may be. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). He is ever faithful to show you that His compassion and presence is your greatest need. He is your strong tower, a shelter over you—beautiful, mighty, and everlasting King. He extends a peace to you that this world has nothing on. His peace is a gift that was left to you when Jesus ascended to heaven.
So, don’t let your heart be troubled, nor allow fear to grip your movement. He has entrusted much to you. He has given you the bounty of this day. Walk in it with unmovable strength and confidence because He is your unyielding foundation. He holds your life safely in His hands and will not allow your feet to slip (see Psalm 66:9). Raise up your eyes to the mountains, your help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and Earth. He does not slumber or sleep. He will keep you, protect you, and guard your going out and your coming in (see Psalm 121).
Allow Him to lead you beside quiet waters, calm your anxiety, grant you peace beyond your striving, and restore your soul. Live under the protective coving of His promise that His loving kindness will not be removed from you. And, it’s His peace He chose to bestow upon you when He left this Earth. It encourages your soul to know that you are to, “…not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful” (John 14:27).
His love for you reaches deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the widest canyon, and higher than the highest mountain.
